Carl’s Jr. is celebrating its newest menu item by offering a free Cali XL, priced at $5.99 and billed as having double the beef of a Big Mac, to customers who upload a photo of a receipt for any McDonald’s burger purchased this year.
From November 12–21, 2025, fans who upload a McDonald’s burger receipt dated between January 1 and November 11, 2025 at carlsjr.com/sadmacbuyback will have a free Cali XL added to their My Rewards account. Qualified participants will see the reward appear starting November 22, 2025.
The Cali XL comes stacked with two 3.5ox charbroiled beef patties, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and Classic Sauce, all on a seeded bun.
To save even more money, fans can upgrade to a Cali XL combo, which includes natural-cut fries and a Coke, for an additional $2.
