After a nearly 10-year hiatus, McDonald’s announced today that the fan-favorite Monopoly game is returning to participating restaurants across the U.S., with even more chances to win, starting October 6, 2025.
This time around, fans can play two ways: digital pieces in the McDonald’s app when ordering select items, and classic peel-off pieces on select menu items. New or returning players get more ways to play and more chances to win.
Simply order from the Monopoly at McDonald’s menu, peel, and play. Use the app to track properties and redeem prizes: trips, cars, and more. Each piece adds a Bonus Play in the app for a second chance at rewards, from free food to $1,000,000.
Here are more detailed instructions on how to play the returning Monopoly game at McDonald’s:
- Register: Download the app, opt in to Rewards, and register for the game. Pre-register between Sept. 29–Oct. 5 to receive 500 MyMcDonald’s Rewards points.
- Order: Starting Oct. 6, order select items to get game pieces. Some items include a physical piece (e.g., on large fry packaging); others provide a digital piece when you order in the app or use your Rewards code. Check the app for eligible items. No purchase necessary; see below for how to play without purchase.
- Peel and reveal:
- Physical pieces: Peel from packaging, then scan in the app to reveal a prize or collect a digital property.
- Digital pieces: Peel in the app to see if you’re an instant winner or to collect a digital property.
- Bonus Play: In both cases, play the in-app bonus game for a second chance to win through Nov. 2.
Across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, more than 30 items qualify: Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Egg McMuffin, large fries, and others. The prize pool is big. Someone will win. It could be you.
- Collect property pieces for chances at 1 million American Airlines AAdvantage miles, a $50,000 trip to a MONOPOLY GO! location, or a $10,000 Lowe’s shopping spree.
- Use Bonus Play through Nov. 2 for shots at a 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and experiences from The Coca-Cola Company. One player could win $1,000,000 cash.
- Free food is in the mix: Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Double Cheeseburger, Snack Wrap. You can also win MyMcDonald’s Rewards points.
