Popeyes Welcomes Back Cajun Rice And Strawberry Cheesecake Fried Pie For Its 50th Anniversary

Popeyes continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary by welcoming back for a very limited time their popular Cajun Rice and the Strawberry Cheesecake Fried Pie.

Cajun Rice (formerly known as Rice Dressing), which was discontinued back in 2021, will be making its way back onto menus everywhere starting today.

For those unfamiliar, Cajun Rice consists of rice with flavorful Cajun and creole seasonings mixed together with a variety of bold ingredients, including bell pepper, onion, garlic, celery and cayenne.

Popeyes says that since Cajun Rice was removed from the menu, thousands of fans have tweeted about wanting the side dish back. Popeyes knew it had to give their most loyal customers what they wanted and is doing so in celebration of its 50th birthday.

To sweeten up its 50th anniversary celebration even further, the brand is also once again offering the Strawberry Cheesecake Fried Pie at restaurants nationwide.

The Strawberry Cheesecake Fried Pie features a deep-fried turnover-style crust filled with a combination of strawberry pie filling, creamy cheesecake, and graham cracker crumbs.

Both menu items can be found for a limited time at participating Popeyes locations nationwide. Prices may vary depending on where you are.
