Taco Bell is tapping 2000s nostalgia with the launch of its new Decades Y2K Menu, featuring the return of iconic fan-favorites including Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos, Chili Cheese Burrito, 7-Layer Burrito, Double Decker Taco, and Caramel Apple Empanada. Each item is priced at $3 or less, and the menu launches September 9. In addition, Taco Bell Rewards Members get early app access to the Caramel Apple Empanada from September 2–8, 2025.
Here’s a closer look at the reimagined items on Taco Bell’s Decades Y2K Menu:
- Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos: The follow-up to Nacho Cheese DLT that fans wouldn’t stop asking for. A crunchy, tangy Cool Ranch Doritos shell stuffed with seasoned beef, lettuce, and cheddar cheese for $2.49.
- Double Decker Taco: Launched in 1995, revived in 2006, kept alive by hacks and votes. A bean-smeared soft tortilla wrapped around a crunchy taco, filled with seasoned beef, lettuce, and shredded cheddar for $2.49.
- 7-Layer Burrito: The vegetarian go-to and customization benchmark. Refried beans, seasoned rice, reduced-fat sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and three-cheese blend in a flour tortilla for $2.49.
- Chili Cheese Burrito: The cult classic fans tracked across the country. Hearty chili and cheddar cheese rolled in a flour tortilla — now back everywhere for $2.99.
- Caramel Apple Empanada: A 2000s staple fans wouldn’t let go. Crispy golden crust with warm apple pieces and creamy caramel filling — back from the vault for $2.99.
The Decades Y2K celebration goes beyond food, as Taco Bell cracks open a Y2K time capsule with era-inspired style. In partnership with Ed Hardy, Rewards Members can snag a limited collab hat plus exclusive Y2K merch, including a digital watch and vintage-style shirts, available on a first-come, first-served basis through weekly Tuesday Drops from September 2 to September 16:
- 9/2: One shot to grab a blinged-out Ed Hardy hat. 500 available at 2 PM PT.
- 9/9: Y2K-inspired digital watch drop. 500 units, live at 2 PM PT.
