Burger King is inviting fans, culinary creators and A.I. aficionados to submit their idea for the next Whopper innovation for a chance to win a $1 million dollar prize.
Starting February 5, 2024, Royal Perks members can enter the Million Dollar Whopper Contest, submit the ingredients for their perfect Whopper, and see their creation sold in Burger King restaurants nationwide for a limited time.
Burger King says that their iconic Whopper sandwich currently offers more than 200,000 possible customized combinations. And since its launch back in 1957, the chain’s culinary team has come up with their own unique versions of the sandwich, ranging from the Angry Whopper to the recently introduced Halloween-inspired Ghost Pepper Whopper. But now, and for the first time in brand history, BK is putting the power in the hands of its fans, asking them to let their imaginations run wild by reimagining the flame-grilled delight however they want.
How to enter the Million Dollar Whopper Contest?
- Visit BK.com/MDW or the brand’s mobile (no purchase necessary) to submit your Whopper creation now through March 17, 2024, using your Royal Perks account.
- Follow the prompts to submit your Whopper sandwich concept, which can include up to eight toppings.
- After submitting your dream sandwich, you will receive an A.I. preview image and a personalized A.I. generated-jingle inspired by your creation that can be shared across your social media platforms.
Three Whopper creations will be chosen by the judges, and the three finalists will be invited to Burger King’s headquarters in Miami, FL, where they’ll have the opportunity to refine their concepts before they hit menus nationwide for a limited time later this year. Guests across the country will then have a chance to try out the three new creations and vote on their favorite Million Dollar Whopper, with the finalist who gets the most votes taking home the $1 million prize.
