Popeyes better watch out. Burger King has been spotted selling a new Spicy Hand-Breaded Chicken at select locations.
The Spicy Hand-Breaded Crispy Chicken Sandwich features a seasoned, 100 percent white meat chicken filet that’s hand-battered and breaded in a crispy coating and drizzled in a spicy glaze, and then topped with a creamy savory sauce and pickles on a toasted potato bun.
The new sandwich was first spotted by popular food reviewer The Endorsement on YouTube. Eric describes it as “spectacular” and gives it a score of 94 out of 100, which means that it’s really, really good.
Along with the new spicy chicken sandwich, Burger King is also offering a Hand-Breaded Lettuce and Tomato Crispy Chicken Sandwich in both regular and spicy varieties.
The Spicy Hand-Breaded Lettuce and Tomato Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which is the newest version, consists of a seasoned, 100 percent white meat chicken breast, hand-battered and breaded in a spicy coating, layered with a creamy savory sauce, lettuce, and tomato, all on a toasted bun.
Both sandwiches are available a la carte for a suggested price of $3.89 or as part of a combo meal with fries and a drink for $5.99 (may vary).
According to several sources, the new chicken sandwich is expected to hit menus nationwide by May of this year, so stay tuned as further details are revealed.
