Caribou Coffee adds a new vegetarian option to the menu with the debut of the new plant-based Beyond Meat Sausage with Egg & Mozzarella Breakfast Sandwich.
The new breakfast sandwich features a plant-based Beyond Breakfast Sausage Patty topped with a cage-free fried egg patty, and a slice of natural mozzarella cheese, served on a herb ciabatta roll.
For those unfamiliar, the Beyond Breakfast Sausage is made with savory herbs and spices, as well as other plant-based ingredients, including peas and brown rice, to deliver the same meaty taste and texture as traditional pork sausage patties.
The Beyond Breakfast Sausage Patty in Caribou’s new plant-based breakfast sandwich has 50% less total fat, 35% less saturated fat, and 30% less sodium than traditional pork breakfast sausage patties. It’s also free from GMOs, soy, and gluten, and contains no hormones or antibiotics.
The breakfast sandwich comes out to 420 calories and costs $4.99, though prices may vary depending on location.
You can find the new Beyond Meat Sausage with Egg & Mozzarella plant-based sandwich at participating Caribou Coffee locations nationwide as part of the chain’s permanent breakfast menu.
