Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s look to heat up the chicken sandwich wars once again with the launch of a new line of Hand-Breaded Chicken Sandwiches at participating locations on May 17, 2021.
The new Hand-Breaded Chicken Sandwiches are made with 100 percent premium white meat breast filet that is marinated in 13 signature seasonings and dipped in buttermilk before going through a six-step hand-breading process in Southern-style flour and then cooked until golden brown.
The chicken sandwich lineup features a classic Hand-Breaded Chicken Sandwich, a Hand-Breaded Chicken & Waffle Breakfast Sandwich, and a Hand-Breaded Chicken Biscuit that will only be available at Hardee’s.
The Hand-Breaded Chicken Sandwich features a 100 percent premium white meat breast filet topped with crinkle-cut pickles and mayonnaise on a toasted potato bun for a suggested price of $5.99 (may vary).
The Hand-Breaded Chicken & Waffle Breakfast Sandwich features a hand-breaded and fried, seasoned all-white meat chicken breast filet served between two Belgian waffle buns and topped with maple butter glaze for $4.99 (may vary).
The Hardee’s Hand-Breaded Chicken Biscuit features a hand-breaded and fried all white meat chicken breast filet served on a Made From Scratch buttermilk biscuit for $3.99 (may vary).
The new chicken sandwiches will be available permanently at participating Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s locations nationwide starting on May 17.
