Starting on January 13, Chick-fil-A will begin testing their new Spicy Chick-n-Strips, the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich, and the Spicy Chick-n-Strips Biscuit in Charlotte-area restaurants.

According to a press release, each item features the chain’s “signature grilled or hand-breaded chicken and seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers.”

Chick-fil-A’s new Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich features a grilled boneless breast of spicy marinated chicken, topped with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce and tomatoes and served on a brioche bun.

Also, starting on January 13, Chick-fil-A will test a modified menu at participating Charlotte-area and Arizona restaurants. As part of the test, they’re removing some menu items so that they can “focus on serving high quality food and make room for new offerings.”

Chick-fil-A will remove the following menu items at participating locations in Arizona and Charlotte:

Breakfast

  • Sausage
  • Sunflower Multigrain Bagel

Entrees and Sides

  • Original Chick-n-Strips
  • Grilled Cool Wrap
  • Side Salad

Beverages

  • Decaf Coffee

Also, the following menu items will only be available in one size in Charlotte and Arizona restaurants:

  • Nuggets Kid’s Meals will be offered as a 5-count
  • Catering trays will be offered as Medium size trays
  • Icedream Cones will be offered in size Small
  • Coffee will be offered in size Small
  • Milkshakes, Iced Coffees and Frosted Beverages will all be offered as a 16-ounce beverage in a clear cup

The new menu will be available at Charlotte and Arizona locations for a limited time.

This test will determine whether the new spicy menu items are rolled out nationwide or not.
