Chick-fil-A tries out the first variation of the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich with the test of the new Honey Pepper Pimento Cheese Chicken Sandwich in North Carolina and South Carolina.
The Honey Pepper Pimento Sandwich features an original Chick-fil-A filet drizzled with honey and topped with pimento cheese and pickled jalapeños, served on a warm, toasted bun.
Chick-fil-A’s new Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich carries a suggested price of $5.49. You can also get it with your choice of a spicy chicken filet or a grilled chicken filet for $5.79 and $6.35, respectively. Prices may vary by location.
Chick-fil-A says that the new sandwich was developed to offer “the perfect balance of savory, sweet and spicy,” but guests can remove the jalapeños, the cheese, or the honey if they prefer it without any of the special toppings.
Chef Stuart Tracy said in a press release that his team has been perfecting the sandwich for over a year. He also said that the jalapeños “give the sandwich just a little kick, bringing a Southwest influence that pairs well with honey and pimento cheese.”
The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will be available for a limited time at participating restaurants in Upstate South Carolina and the Asheville, North Carolina area beginning September 14, 2020, while supplies last.
