Cracker Barrel adds the new Southern Fried Chicken as a permanent addition to their menu.
The new bone in fried chicken is double hand-breaded with a unique blend of black peppers and Cracker Barrel’s signature seasoning and spices. Then deep-fried until golden and crispy on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside.
An order of Southern Fried includes 4 pieces of chicken—wing, leg, thigh, breast—served with honey, your choice of two country sides, and buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins. All of that for just $10.79, though, prices may vary.
Beginning May 20, Cracker Barrel will offer the new Southern Fried Chicken Box, which includes 12 pieces, for a suggested price of $33.99. Apart from the twelve pieces of chicken, the Southern Fried Box also includes two country sides and buttermilk biscuits.
You can also get a half gallon of lemonade, strawberry lemonade, unsweetened tea, sweet tea, cookies, or banana pudding for an extra charge.
After spending years developing and perfecting the recipe, the new Southern Fried Chicken is finally available at nearly 700 Cracker Barrel restaurants nationwide.
I’ll be adding a review soon. But in the meantime, let us know what you think. Leave a message in the comments below or send us an email.
