Denny’s has announced that it will be celebrating this year’s Halloween blue moon by offering a limited edition Blue Moons Over My Hammy at select Denny’s locations in the Miami-Dade area on October 31 only.
Inspired by Denny’s iconic sandwich, the Blue Moons Over My Hammy features ham and scrambled eggs topped with Swiss and American cheeses on a specially created blue sourdough bread, grilled to perfection.
This year’s Blue Moon represents a special (and spooky) occasion because it’s the first on Halloween night since 1944, and is 19 years away from the next event in 2039, according to a press release.
Inspired by the 1935 jazz song, “Moon Over Miami,” the Moons Over My Hammy sandwich has been one of the chain’s best-selling items since it was first introduced back in the early 1990s.
The blue sandwich will be exclusively available in 20 Dade County restaurants and for dine-in only, while supplies last.
