Dunkin’ Introduces New Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich

Dunkin’ is jumping on the faux-meat bandwagon with the introduction of the new Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich. With the arrival of the plant-based sandwich, Dunkin’ becomes the first U.S. fast-food chain to sell Beyond Breakfast Sausage.

However, Dunkin’ is not the only restaurant chain to offer plant-based options in the US. Burger King has the Impossible Whopper, Del Taco has Beyond Meat its Beyond Meat burritos, and Qdoba is now offering Impossible Nachos.

Priced at $4.29, the Beyond Meat Sausage Breakfast Sandwich includes a 100 percent plant-based sausage patty, melted American cheese, and a fluffy egg served on an English muffin.

Dunkin’s Beyond Breakfast Sandwich is not vegan as it contains egg and cheese. But customers can order it with just the plant-based patty on an English Muffin to make it 100 percent vegan.

Made with peas, mung beans, rice and sunflower seeds the Beyond Sausage is a protein-packed ingredient that looks and tastes like a real sausage patty.

The new Beyond Breakfast Sandwich is only available at select locations in Manhattan. But Dunkin’ plans to roll it out to all its U.S. locations later this year.
