I’ve always been a huge Fatburger fan. The first time I ever heard about the place was on Ice Cube’s song It Was a Good Day, which was a big hit back in the early 90s.

Soon after that we moved to LA, and I finally had the chance to taste their famous burgers and also talk to fans from all over the world. Needless to say, I was hooked. The flavor, size, and juiciness of the chain’s burgers blew me away, and I’ve remained a fan ever since.

The XXXL, also dubbed as the Five Guys Killer, is probably my all-time fave. And it may well be the best in the biz.

Growing up in South Central LA in the early 90s was tough, but Fatburger made it a lot easier.

Over the weekend, I swung by the nearest Fatburger joint in my area to try out the new Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with Frank’s Red Hot. So here’s my quick review.

The Review

Unlike most fast food spicy chicken sandwiches, Fatburger’s take on the classic is unique because they don’t cook the spice into the breading. The spice comes from Frank’s RedHot Sauce.

Fatburger’s Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Chicken Sandwich comes with a crispy chicken breast fillet swamped in Frank’s RedHot Sauce, tomato slices, and shredded lettuce served on a lightly toasted bun.

The bun is nice and soft and held up well to the chicken breast despite the enormous amount of Frank’s RedHot Sauce it comes with.

A great fast food chicken sandwich although too sauced for my liking. And you know too much sauce makes the bun soggy. I was very happy with the overall experience though.

The new LTO is available for the suggested price of $6.85. But prices may vary by location.

Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is available now at Fatburger locations nationwide for a limited time only.
