Jack In The Box Launches New Plant-Based Unchicken Sandwich

Jack in the Box looks to add a plant-based to its menu for the first time with a test of the new Unchicken Sandwich at select locations in Reno, NV, and Monterey, CA.

The Unchicken Sandwich comes with a plant-based substitute filet topped with mayo, lettuce, and tomato served on a split-top bun.

Sourced from Raised & Rooted, Jack in the Box’s substitute chicken filet is made from pea protein isolate and the chain’s traditional crispy breading. For those unfamiliar, Raised & Rooted is an alternative protein product line that was launched by Tyson Foods back in June 2019.

The Unchicken Sandwich Combo sells for $6.99 and is available in classic and spicy flavors. You can also get it a la carte, but prices may vary depending on where you live.

To celebrate the new arrival, Jack in the Box is adding Chicken Scented Face Masks to its product lineup. You can get your free on October 23, 2020 at jackinthebox.com/chickenscentedfacemask. Keep in mind that they’re only available in limited quantities, so be sure to get yours before they’re gone.

The Unchicken Sandwich is available at select locations in Reno, NV and Monterey, CA from October 15 through December 12.
