Jack In The Box Quietly Discontinues Grande Sausage Burrito And Biscuits

Jack in the Box has quietly discontinued their Grande Sausage Burrito and Breakfast Biscuit Sandwiches, a restaurant manager confirmed to The Fast Food Post.

No official reason was given for the removal of the items, but I think it’s safe to assume that, despite being very popular among Jack in the Box fans, they had probably not been selling as well as the company would have liked. It’s either that or they’re simply making these changes to streamline the menu, enhance the speed of service, and/or make room for new offerings, like many other fast-food and QSR brands have done in recent years.

Jack in the Box fans are not happy. Outrage over the removal of the Grande Sausage Burrito has even sparked a petition on Change.org to have the item put back on menus. Launched on August 10, 2023 by David Lopez, the petition has received nearly 300 signatures in the past few days.

First introduced in 2014, the Grande Sausage Breakfast Burrito came stuffed to the brim with sausage, bacon crumbles, shredded pepper jack cheese, cheddar cheese sauce, and creamy Sriracha sauce.

Considered a breakfast staple, Jack in the Box’s Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich featured a grilled sausage patty or bacon strips, freshly cracked egg, and American cheese on a buttermilk biscuit.

Not all is lost, however. The Meat Lovers Burrito, which debuted alongside the Grande Sausage Burrito back in 2014, is still available on the menu as of writing. It features bacon, sausage and ham wrapped in a warm flour tortilla with scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese, and served with a side of fire-roasted tomato salsa.

In addition, they also recently introduced the new Breakfast Taco, which is yet another portable option that consists of crunchy taco shell filled with melty American cheese, scrambled egg, taco sauce, and Jimmy Dean sausage.
