Following a successful test run in select markets in January, KFC announced on Thursday that the chain will launch the new Cheetos Chicken Sandwich nationwide on July 1, 2019.
The Cheetos sandwich is essentially a new take on the chain’s popular Crispy Colonel Sandwich. It features a crispy chicken filet coated with special Cheetos sauce and layered on a toasted bun with crunchy Cheetos and KFC mayo.
To celebrate the launch of the Cheetos sandwich, KFC will be hosting an exclusive pop-up party in New York City on Thursday, June 27, 2019 between 4 and 8 p.m. ET.
The pop-up party will include a Cheeto-fied menu featuring exclusive menu items such as Cheetos-fied KFC Hot Wings, Cheetos Loaded Fries, and KFC Mac and Cheetos Bowl.
The Cheetos Loaded Fries feature KFC loaded French fries drizzled with Cheetos sauce, then topped with chopped bacon, a three-cheese blend, and a pinch of Cheetos dust.
The KFC Mac and Cheetos Bowl features a mix of the chain’s mac and cheese and popcorn chicken smothered in Cheetos sauce and sprinkled with Cheetos dust, then topped with a three-cheese blend.
Cheetos-fied KFC Hot Wings feature the chain’s hot wings smothered in Cheetos special sauce and sprinkled with Cheetos dust.
KFC’s new Cheetos Chicken Sandwich will be available at participating locations nationwide for a limited time only.
