KFC and Beyond Meat are teaming up once again for the launch of the new Plant-Based Spicy Beef Wrap at participating locations in China.
The new menu item combines vegan beef made by Beyond Meat with lettuce, tomato salad, and egg-based mayonnaise, all wrapped in a crispy tortilla and soft wheat tortilla combo exterior that features a five-sided pentagonal shape.
According to Beyond Meat, the wrap boasts 12.8 grams of plant-based protein and offers a similar flavor and texture to that of beef, but with zero cholesterol.
Last year, KFC China also introduced a Beyond Burger featuring a plant-based beef patty served with dairy-based toppings on a sesame seed bun.
The vegan Spicy Beef Wrap is available at 2,600 KFC locations in 28 cities nationwide for a limited time, while supplies last.
