KFC and Mountain Dew are teaming up to launch a new drink, called Sweet Lightning which will be available exclusively at KFC restaurants across the country starting July 1, 2019.
The new Mtn Sweet Lightning at KFC is a yellow-colored drink made with a blend of peach and honey flavors.
According to a press release, Mountain Dew’s new soda will “brighten your taste buds” with an explosion of flavor.
Developed in partnership with the food and beverage innovation teams at KFC and Mountain Dew, the new drink is being advertised as the perfect pairing for KFC’s Original Recipe fried chicken.
Andrea Zahumensky, chief marketing officer for KFC USA, says the new drink is “as unique to KFC as the Colonel’s secret blend of 11 herbs and spices, and it will keep fans coming back for more.”
Mtn Dew Sweet Lightning is a permanent menu addition to the KFC menu. You can find it at participating locations nationwide beginning next month for a suggested price of $2.10. But prices may vary based on size and location.
