Krispy Kreme is celebrating this year’s final “supermoon” with the introduction of the new Strawberry Supermoon Doughnut on June 24, 2021.
Available for one day only, the new Strawberry Supermoon Doughnut consists of a yeast shell donut filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in Strawberries and Kreme icing, and topped with graham cracker “moon dust.”
This month’s full moon is called the Strawberry Moon because it happens during harvesting season for strawberries in the northeastern part of the US. It’s also the third consecutive month for a “supermoon,” which is a phenomenon that occurs when the moon is orbiting closest to earth, making it appear larger and brighter.
Krispy Kreme’s Strawberry Supermoon Doughnut will be available for one day only at participating shops nationwide on Thursday, June 24, 2021.
