Little Caesars is jumping in on the plant-based protein trend with the introduction of the new Impossible Supreme Pizza.
The pizza chain announced that it will offer their new vegan pizza at select locations in Florida, Washington State, and New Mexico.
Little Caesars vegan pizza comes topped with Impossible Foods’ meatless sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and caramelized onions.
“Custom seasoned for Little Caesars with savory seasonings,” the Impossible Sausage looks and tastes like the traditional sausage used on their pizzas.
Made with the same technology and ingredients used to make their famous Impossible Burgers, the Impossible Sausage is the company’s first new product launch since the 2016 introduction of the Impossible Burger.
The Impossible Supreme Pizza carries a suggested price of $12. You can get it Hot-n-Ready from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It’s also available during normal business hours.
According to Little Caesars, a quarter-pound serving of their new vegan pizza has 270 calories, 17 grams of fat, 0 mg of cholesterol, and 17 grams of protein.
If the test proves to be successful, then the new vegan pizza may roll out nationwide later.
So on average, a large Impossible Supreme Pizza has 2270 and 266 grams of carbs. Although not light by definition because it has 17 grams of fat per quarter-pound, the Impossible Sausage pizza is a healthier option than the regular beef sausage, which has 340 calories and 29 grams of fat per serving.
