McDonald’s has announced that it will begin testing a new, small-format, beverage-led restaurant concept dubbed “CosMc’s” in Bolingbrook, Illinois, this week.
According to a press release, CosMc’s menu will be rooted in beverage exploration, seamlessly blending new flavor combinations with vibrant colors and functional boosts. In addition, the small-format restaurant concept will also offer a small lineup of food that includes all-new menu items alongside a few of the chain’s classic fan-favorites.
CosMc’s drinks lineup features a variety a specialty lemonades and teas, blended beverages, and cold coffee like Sour Cherry Slush, S’mores Cold Brew and Tropical Spiceade. Fans will also be able to customize their drinks with add-ins such as popping boba, flavor syrups, energy or Vitamin C shots, and more.

Meanwhile, on the food front, customers can expect to find savory offerings including a Spicy Queso Sandwich, Savory Hash Brown Bites and Pretzel Bites served with dipping sauces. Dessert options include a Blueberry Lemon Cookie Sundae, McPops, and Caramel Fudge Brownies, among others.

CosMc’s will also feature a seamless digital and Drive Thru experience, dynamic menu boards, and cashless payment devices to make the ordering and payment process a breeze. Drive Thru pickup windows will be assigned once your order is ready, which means an easy-going journey to pick up your food.
By the end of 2024, McDonald’s plans to open around 10 CosMc’s pilot locations, with more opportunities for additional locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio metro areas.
