McDonald’s just revealed that it is releasing its first-ever breakfast-inspired dipping sauce, the Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce alongside the new Mambo Sauce starting October 9, 2023.
McDonald’s new Sweet and Spicy Jam Sauce is a jammy red pepper sauce that features a kick from Szechuan peppercorn and extra heat from cayenne pepper, and is finished with apple cider vinegar.
The chain’s chefs suggest pairing their Sweet and Spicy Jam with a variety of breakfast favorites, including the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Chicken McNuggets, McCrispy, and World Famous Fries.
Drawing inspiration from the regional Washington, D.C. area sauce staple, McDonald’s new Mambo Sauce is a tomato-based sauce that features a combination of sweet, spicy and vinegary flavors.
McDonald’s is inviting fans to dial-up the flavor on their next Quarter Pounder with cheese, Chicken McNuggets, McCrispy, Hash Browns, or Wold Famous Fries.
McDonald’s is also partnering with foodie content creators @misslegarda, @Mr.Eats305, @natelovlogs, @sharidyonne, @santanakeish, and @blackgirlsexploredc as part of a new campaign to review the Sweet and Spicy Jam and Mambo Sauce ass well as share their own creations and combinations across their social channels.
In addition, McDonald’s is also honoring the rich cultural ties Mambo sauce has to the Chicago and Washington D.C. communities by sharing real stories of sauce makers, small business owners, restaurateurs, and fans keeping the culture of Mambo alive through an original documentary that will be airing on McDonald’s YouTube channel on October 9.
