McDonald’s just announced that their legendary McRib sandwich will be making a triumphant return to menus nationwide on November 1, 2021 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of the brand’s most limited time items to date.
After making its debut 40 years ago, the McRib quickly became a fan favorite thanks to the unique flavor of its seasoned boneless pork patty smothered in BBQ sauce and topped with slivered onions and tart dill pickles, all served on a homestyle bun.
The McRib started was originally introduced in Kansas City, Kansas in 1981 and became an international sensation when it was paired with the promotion of the theatrical release of The Flintstones back in 1994, along with innovations like the McRib Jr. Over the years, the McRib has also been features on McDonald’s menus across the world, including in countries like Germany, New Zealand and France.
The McRib will be available starting November 1, 2021 for a limited time at participating McDonald’s restaurants nationwide via carry-out, at the Drive Thru, on the McDonald’s App and through McDelivery.
