Panda Express Introduces New Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken in Select Markets

0

Panda Express is testing Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken for a limited time at select locations in Atlanta, Reno, Orlando, Chicago, Phoenix, Nashville, Los Angeles, and surrounding areas.

Inspired by the popular dish sold at Taiwan’s night markets, Panda Express’s Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken features boneless dark-meat chicken bites coated in a light, crispy breading, tossed in a proprietary dry spice blend of tamarind, tomato, garlic, and onion, and finished with crispy fried kale, the brand’s take on the basil traditionally served with the fried chicken. In addition, each order is served with a side of creamy, subtly spicy house-made Chili Crisp Aioli for dipping.

Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken is available in small, medium, and large sizes for $5.40, $8.70, and $12.30, respectively, although prices may vary depending on location.

Fans who purchase a large à la carte order of Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken at participating test locations can receive a free limited-edition bucket designed by Taiwanese American designer, author, and food creator Frankie Gaw, while supplies last. The custom bucket celebrates Taiwanese street food culture.
