Due to high demand, Panda Express is welcoming back its plant-based Beyond The Original Orange Chicken at all of its 2,300-plus locations nationwide starting September 7, 2022.
Initially tested at select locations across Southern California and New York City back in 2021, Beyond Orange Chicken features crispy breaded pieces of plant-based Beyond Chicken wok-tossed in Panda Express’ signature sweet and tangy The Original Orange Chicken sauce.
According to Panda Express, the entrée, which was co-developed with Beyond Meat, successfully captures the crunchy texture and flavor of the Chinese food chain’s Original Orange Chicken, while giving fans the flavor they know and love in plant-based form.
Beyond The Original Orange Chicken can be enjoyed a la carte in small, medium or large sizes for $6.15, $10.70, and $14.65, respectively. Meanwhile, the Beyond Original Orange Chicken bowl goes for $8.75 at my local Panda Express, and the plates start at $11.50. As always, prices may vary.
To celebrate the nationwide launch, customers who order a Beyond The Original Orange Chicken bowl online using the promo code “BEYONDOC” will get another free bowl featuring their American Chinese entrée of choice. The offer is valid for online orders only via the Panda Express website or app from September 26 through October 9, 2022.
