Pizza Hut jumps onto the hottest pizza trend in recent years with the nationwide launch of its all-new Detroit-Style Pizza lineup, featuring four new cheesy recipes: Detroit Double Pepperoni, Double Cheesy, Meaty Deluxe, and Supremo.
Originally tested at select locations in the Midwest back in March 2020, the new Detroit-Style Pizza is rectangular-shaped and features cheese all the way to the edges to create that crispy, thick, caramelized crust. The pizza also comes loaded with toppings and is finished off with a vine-ripened tomato sauce on top.
To make the new Detroit-Style Pizza truly unique, the pizza chain created a new vine-ripened tomato sauce that is currently only available on their Detroit-Style pizzas. According to a press release, Pizza Hut tested eight different versions of the new vine-ripened tomato sauce before finally “finding the perfect taste.”
The brand is offering four different Detroit-Style recipes to choose from:
- The Detroit Double Pepperoni comes topped with 32 slices of regular pepperoni and 48 slices of Crispy Cupped Pepperoni, which crisp up in the oven and provide a crunchy texture and zesty flavor.
- The Double Cheesy comes layered with two kinds of cheese, including aged Parmesan.
- The Meaty Deluxe comes loaded with bacon, Italian sausage, and Crispy Cupped Pepperoni.
- The Supremo comes topped with Italian sausage, red onions, and green bell peppers.
All four Detroit-Style Pizzas are available now at participating Pizza Hut restaurants nationwide for contactless delivery, carryout, or curbside pickup for a suggested starting price of $10.99. Just take note that prices will vary depending on location.
