Popeyes adds to their chicken sandwich lineup with the introduction of the new Blackened Chicken Sandwich.
Available in two varieties – Classic and Spicy – the new Blackened Chicken Sandwich offers a healthy spin on the chain’s popular crispy chicken sandwich, which officially debuted back in August 2019.
The Classic Blackened Chicken Sandwich comes with an unbattered and unbreaded all-white meat chicken fillet deep fried in a proprietary blend of blackened seasoning, layered with two barrel cured pickles and mayo, and served on a buttery, toasted brioche bun.
Meanwhile, the Spicy Blackened Chicken Sandwich features an unbattered, unbreaded all-white meat chicken filet layered with two barrel cured pickles and Spicy mayo served on a buttery, toasted brioche bun.
While prices may vary, you can expect to pay around $3.99 for the new chicken sandwich. Grubhub has it for $4.79 by itself and Postmates is offering it for $5.99, but it includes your choice of one regular side.
The new Blackened Chicken Sandwich is available at select Popeyes restaurants nationwide for a limited time.
