Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has put together two new sandwiches that could give Chick-fil-A a run for its money.
In 2017, the chain started testing a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and a Mild Chicken Sandwich at select locations.
But it wasn’t until last year that the chain started rolling them out to other locations across the country.
It’s worth noting that the new sandwiches everyone’s talking about are a bit different to those tested in 2017. The ones they were selling two years ago came with lettuce and tomatoes, while the new ones don’t.
Popeyes is offering the new chicken sandwiches in both mild and spicy versions.
The Spicy Chicken Sandwich features a battered and fried chicken breast fillet, sliced pickles, and spicy mayo on brioche bun. While the Mild or Classic Chicken Sandwich comes with a breaded chicken breast, pickles, and regular mayo sandwiched between two brioche buns.
Popeyes new chicken sandwiches are available for a suggested price of $3.99, or $5.99 as part of a combo with fries and a drink. Prices may vary.
Both the mild and spicy versions are available at participating locations nationwide for a limited time.
