Popeyes has teamed up with hot sauce brand TRUFF for the launch of a new line of TRUFF Chicken Sandwiches at select locations in Connecticut and North Carolina.
As part of the collaboration, the fried chicken chain is introducing eight different variations of its iconic chicken sandwich, all featuring TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo, which delivers a nice kick from red jalapenos balanced with the richness of the mayo and the umami depth of black winter truffles.
Popeyes’ TRUFF Chicken Sandwich is available in the following varieties:
- Crispy TRUFF Chicken Sandwich: A juicy chicken breast fillet marinated in Popeyes seasonings, hand-battered and breaded in the brand’s proprietary buttermilk system and fried until golden brown. The chicken breast comes sandwiched between two buttery toasted brioche buns and topped with barrel cured pickle slices and TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo.
- Blackened TRUFF Chicken Sandwich: A juicy chicken filet fried to perfection without the breading and served on a toasted brioche bun with crisp pickles and TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo.
- Crispy TRUFF Cheese Chicken Sandwich: A juicy chicken fillet marinated in Louisiana seasonings, hand-battered and breaded in Popeyes’ buttermilk system, and fried until golden brown. The chicken breast is then served between two buttery toasted brioche buns and topped with barrel cured pickle slices, melty Havarti cheese, and TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo.
- Crispy TRUFF Bacon Chicken Sandwich: A juicy chicken breast fillet marinated in Louisiana seasonings, hand-battered and breaded in the chain’s proprietary buttermilk system and fried until golden brown. The chicken breast fillet is then placed between two buttery toasted brioche buns and topped with barrel cured pickle slices, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo.
- Crispy TRUFF Bacon & Cheese Chicken Sandwich: A juicy chicken breast fillet marinated in authentic Louisiana seasonings, hand-battered and breaded in Popeyes’ buttermilk system and fried until golden brown. Sandwiched between two buttery toasted brioche buns and topped with barrel cured pickle slices, melty Havarti cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo.
- Blackened TRUFF Cheese Chicken Sandwich: A juicy chicken filet fried up to perfection without the breading and served on a toasted brioche bun with crisp pickles, melty Havarti cheese, and TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo.
- Blackened TRUFF Bacon Chicken Sandwich: A juicy fillet fried to perfection without the breading and served on a toasted brioche bun with crisp pickles, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo.
- Blackened TRUFF Bacon & Cheese Chicken Sandwich: A juicy chicken fillet fried to perfection without the breading and served on a toasted brioche bun with crisp pickles, melty Havarti cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and TRUFF’s Spicy Mayo.
While the new menu items are currently only available at select locations in Connecticut and North Carolina, sources close to the matter suggest that Popeyes’ TRUFF Chicken Sandwich lineup may be hitting menus nationwide very soon.
I’m also told that if and when the sandwich launches nationwide, a new TRUFF Chicken Sandwich Bundle that includes your choice of one TRUFF Chicken Sandwich, eight juicy bite sized nuggets, one regular side of homestyle Mac & Cheese made with real butter and cream, and a side of TRUFF Spicy Mayo, will also be offered for around $16.99 (prices may vary).

In addition, you also have the option to elevate any item on the menu with a combination of spicy and rich umami flavors by adding a side of TRUFF Spicy Mayo to your order for just 80-cents (may vary).
You can find the new line of TRUFF Chicken Sandwiches at participating Popeyes locations in Connecticut and North Carolina for a limited time.

I’ll probably try to try all the versions of the Truff chicken sandwiches. I love Popeyes food and the Chicken are my favorites. I’m not a big fan of Pumpkin SPICE but I love the smell and I love Steak&Shake Milkshakes. THE Oreo Milkshake is one of my favorites so, I’ll probably give it a try .
