Taco Bell just announced that it’s planning to bring back its highly requested and much-anticipated Mexican Pizza permanently on September 15, 2022.
The returning fan favorite Mexican Pizza features seasoned beef and refried beans sandwiched between two Mexican Pizza shells and topped with pizza sauce, three-cheese blend, and tomatoes.
They’ll also be offering a Veggie Mexican Pizza that features all the same ingredients, but without the seasoned beef, thus making it an AVA Certified Vegetarian food item.
Both varieties can be enjoyed a la carte for a suggested price of $4.49 or as part of a Mexican Pizza Combo that also includes two Crunchy Taco Supremes and a large fountain drink for $8.99 (may vary).
Taco Bell brought back the Mexican Pizza for a limited time earlier this year in May, but was quickly pulled from menus as a result of demand outpacing available supply. As an example, one Taco Bell location in Roseville, California, sold more than 1,000 Mexican Pizzas in one day.
While the Mexican Pizza may already be available at some Taco Bell locations, you can expect to hit menus nationwide as a permanent item starting Thursday, September 15, 2022.

That’s what they said when they brought it back a few months back. I think it was just a publicity stunt to run out of them so fast. After all, they had signs posted outside their parking lots saying they were out after only 3 weeks…patting themselves on the back and saying how great customer loyalty for it was. Remember the old “new coke” vs “original coke”?
