Taco Bell is launching its first ever global marketing campaign, and will be giving out free Crunchy Tacos on May 4, 2021, to celebrate a new lunar phase that they’re affectionately calling the “Taco Moon.”
When the moon looks like a Taco on May 4, Taco Bell fans in the US can score the chain’s #1 best-selling menu item, a free Crunchy Taco, between 8:00 PM and 11:59 PM in-store or all day through the brand’s app or online at TacoBell.com.
Participating Taco Bell restaurants in international markets such as the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Puerto Rico will also be celebrating the Taco Moon by rolling out a special offer that includes the classic Crunchy Taco. For example, participating locations in Guatemala will be offering a free Crunchy Taco with the purchase of a beverage and a free vegetarian Crunchy Taco will be available through delivery in India.
Additionally, Taco Bell fans in the US who are unable to score a free Crunchy Taco on May 4 during the promotion window will have the opportunity to score two additional, fully customizable offers all day on May 4 and May 5. Both offers will be available online and for delivery, and Taco Bell Rewards beta members will get bonus points on either promo:
- The Classic $5 Build Your Own Cravings Box comes with one Crunchy Taco, one Soft Taco, one Doritos Locos Tacos, one Spicy Potato Soft Taco and a Medium fountain drink.
- The Classic $15 Build Your Own Taco Party Pack features three Crunchy Tacos, three Soft Tacos, three Doritos Locos Tacos and three Spicy Potato Soft Tacos.
Both the Build Your Own Cravings Box and the Build Your Own Taco Party Pack will also be available through third party delivery partners, but prices will be higher and Taco Bell Rewards beta members will not earn points on these orders.
