As first reported by the Fast Food Post, Taco Bell has officially brought back the Bacon Club Chalupa and the Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito, but they are only going to be available for a very limited time.
The Bacon Club Chalupa features grilled, marinated, all-white meat chicken, crispy bacon bits, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado ranch sauce, and three-cheese blend, all nestled inside of a chewy, flaky shell.
Prices may vary, but the Bacon Club Chalupa on its own goes for $4.99 at my local Taco Bell, while the Bacon Club Chalupa Combo, which also includes two Crunchy Tacos and a large fountain drink, carries a suggested price of $7.99.
As mentioned above, the Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito is also back on the menu, and can be enjoyed in two classic varieties, Original and Spicy:
The Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito features double the marinated grilled steak, seasoned rice, fiesta strips, nacho cheese sauce, creamy chipotle sauce, three-cheese blend, and reduced-fat sour cream, all wrapped inside a warm flour tortilla, with more three-cheese blend grilled on the top.
Meanwhile, the Spicy Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito features double the marinated grilled steak, seasoned rice, fiesta strips, nacho cheese sauce, creamy chipotle sauce, three-cheese blend, and reduced-fat sour cream, all wrapped up inside a warm flour tortilla, with more three-cheese blend and jalapeños grilled on the top.
This time around, you can get either the Original or Spicy Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito a la carte for a suggested price of $7.49 (may vary). For those keeping tabs, that’s a 73% price increase from when it was first introduced back in November 2021.
Both the Bacon Club Chalupa and Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito can be found at participating Taco Bell locations nationwide for a limited time.
Quesarito
Additionally, and in an unexpected turn of events, the fast-food chain also announced that it will be permanently removing a beloved item from its menu – the Quesarito – starting on April 10, 2023, to make way for the addition of new and returning fan favorite items.
The Quesarito, which as of recently has been exclusively available through the brand’s mobile app or online, consists of a signature burrito wrapped in a cheese quesadilla and filled with seasoned beef, seasoned rice, nacho cheese sauce, creamy chipotle sauce, and reduced-fat sour cream.
What do you think of Taco Bell’s decision to discontinue the Quesarito? Please share your thoughts down in the comments below.
