Taco Bell looks to put a vegan spin on a classic fan-favorite with a test of the new Vegan Crunchwrap at select restaurant locations in Los Angeles, NYC, and Orlando beginning June 8, 2023.
Taco Bell’s new Vegan Crunchwrap features vegan seasoned beef topped with cool vegan blanco sauce, warm vegan nacho sauce, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and a crunchy tostada shell all wrapped up in a hexagonally folded grilled flour tortilla.
The fast-food Mexican chain says that their proprietary vegan seasoned beef consists of a boldly seasoned plant-based protein that has been in development for years now. The cool vegan blanco sauce and vegan nacho sauce have also long been in the works to refine their proprietary flavors.
All the ingredients included in the new Vegan Crunchwrap are certified vegan by the American Vegetarian Association. However, and since the product was crafted as what is being touted as the “perfectly complementary combination,” the proprietary plant-based ingredients will not be available for individual orders.
During the test, the Vegan Crunchwrap will be offered at the same price point as the brand’s original Crunchwrap.
The Vegan Crunchwrap can be found for a limited time while supplies last at the following test locations beginning on June 8, 2023:
- Los Angeles: 6741 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA
- New York City: 976 6th Ave, New York, NY
- Orlando: 11893 East Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL
Just like previous product tests, Taco Bell will be trialing the Vegan Crunchwrap to gauge fan feedback and inform customers about future menu developments.
