Taco Bell is celebrating its rich menu history with the return of a variety of fan-favorite menu items from its first 50 years in business, including the ’60s Tostada, ’70s Green Sauce Burrito, ’80s Meximelt and ’90s Gordita starting October 31, and the ’00s iconic Caramel Apple Empanada, available starting November 21, 2024, each priced at $3 or less for a limited time.

Along with the vintage menu items, Taco Bell is inviting fans to journey back to their favorite decades with exclusive, retro-inspired hoodies and cups featuring distinctive designs from the ’60s to the 2000s, as well as a nostalgic ’60s Taco Bell throwback event.

Committed to providing value, Taco Bell is making every item on the Decades Menu available for less than $3 at select locations across the country. Enjoy a delicious journey through time with each item on the Decades Menu:

  • ’60s – Tostada: This classic menu item debuted in 1962 at Taco Bell’s first walk-up location in Southern California, offering a crispy corn tostada shell layered with delicious refried beans, zesty red sauce, fresh lettuce, and shredded cheese, priced at $2.19.
  • ’70s – Green Sauce Burrito: A standout from the ’70s, this popular burrito, known for being one of the “most-hacked” items, is filled with savory refried beans, crunchy onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and a tangy green sauce made with green chilies, tomatillos, jalapeños, and spices, available for $2.49.
  • ’80s – Meximelt: A fan favorite making its comeback from the ’80s cliques, the Meximelt features freshly prepared pico de gallo, a blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey Jack cheeses melted with seasoned beef wrapped in a tortilla, offered for $2.99.
  • ’90s – Gordita Supreme: Reviving the essence of the ’90s, the Beef Gordita Supreme boasts a warm, fluffy flatbread filled with seasoned beef, cool reduced-fat sour cream, crisp lettuce, a three-cheese blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey Jack, all topped with diced tomatoes, available for $2.99.
  • ’00s – Caramel Apple Empanada: Making its debut in Y2K, the Caramel Apple Empanada features a crispy golden-brown exterior filled with apple pieces and caramel filling. This treat, which has consistently been sought after by fans, will return to menus on November 21 for a limited time and is priced at $2.99.

Limited-Edition Decades Merch

To mark the occasion, Taco Bell is also allowing fans to embrace their favorite era with exclusive Limited-Edition Stainless-Steel Decades Cups and Decades Hoodies, featuring unique designs from the ’60s to the 2000s. Starting October 29 at 2 PM PT, Rewards Members can be among the first to access this special drop and celebrate their favorite Taco Bell decade.

Additionally, Taco Bell is launching a weekly Decades Quiz within its app, where Rewards Members who complete the quiz will have the chance to win either a hoodie or a stainless-steel cup! Each week, participants will explore their fun “Taco Bell Archetype” by answering decade-themed questions such as, “What dance moves are you showcasing after your first bite of Taco Bell?” and “How do you respond to a call from the ’90s?” At the conclusion of the five-week quiz series, five fortunate winners will be chosen to receive the complete collection of Decades hoodies and stainless-steel cups.

Moreover, fans across the country can visit their local Taco Bell to grab plastic versions of the Limited-Edition Decades Cups. While supplies last, medium-sized drinks will be served in a randomly selected commemorative plastic cup.
