The Cheesecake Factory will be celebrating National Cheesecake Day this year with the debut of the new Classic Basque Cheesecake on July 30, 2022.
Created in San Sebastian Spain over 30 years ago, Basque Cheesecake is a crustless cheesecake with a burnt top and a creamy, custard-like center, and sweet caramelized notes. However, The Cheesecake Factory’s take on the classic recipe also features fresh berries and whipped cream on top.
But the excitement doesn’t end there, because as part of the celebration, the cheesecake chain will also donate $1 to Feeding America for every slice of cheesecake sold on National Cheesecake Day, which this year lands on Saturday, July 30.
Additionally, and to round out the celebration, The Cheesecake Factory will be donating an additional 25 cents for every slice of Classic Basque Cheesecake sold from July 31, 2022 through July 29, 2023.
Feeding America is the nation’s largest and most effective not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping local food banks fight domestic hunger by providing nutritious meals to those who need it the most.
Since 2008, The Cheesecake Factory has donated over $5.9 million to Feeding America from the sale of its specially designated cheesecakes.
