Wendy’s Brings Back Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich For 2023 Lenten Season

Fish is back on the menu at Wendy’s with the return of its seasonal and much-anticipated Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich.

Wendy’s Fish Sandwich includes a buttery, flaky, sustainably sourced wild-caught Alaskan pollock fish fillet with savory notes of garlic and onion, coated in crispy panko breading and topped with lettuce, American cheese, pickles, and creamy dill tartar sauce on a premium bun.

The Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich was introduced back in 2021 when it replaced the brand’s long-running North Pacific Cod Sandwich, which featured a wild caught North Pacific cod filet also coated in a crunchy panko breading and topped with lettuce, three dill pickle slices, and creamy dill tartar sauce.

According to Wendy’s, the Wild Alaskan Pollock fillet offers a similar flavor to the cod fillet, but with better quality overall, improving the sandwich’s flavor, texture, and crispiness. Additionally, it also has traceability built into the supply chain, which is a top priority for the fast-food chain.

With that said, Wendy’s Fish Sandwich carries a suggested price of $5.89 and can be purchased in-restaurant or through the brand’s mobile app for pickup. You can also get it delivered right to your doorstep by ordering through the Wendy’s app or via third-party delivery services like Uber Eats, DoorDash, Postmates and Grubhub.

You can find the Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich at participating Wendy’s locations nationwide for a limited time through the 2023 Lenten season. Price and participation may vary.
