Just in time for the Lenten season, Zaxby’s is diving back into ZaxSeas mode with the return of Southern Fried Shrimp at participating locations starting March 3, 2025.
Southern Fried Shrimp features a crispy, flavorful breading crafted with a perfect blend of garlic and onion powder, seasoned with pepper, soaked in buttermilk, and fried to a golden crisp. It can be enjoyed in a variety of ways: dipped in the brand’s signature zesty Zaxtail Sauce or spicy Buffalo Garlic Blaze, drizzled with dressing on the fan-favorite Asian Zensation Zalad, or served alongside Zaxby’s iconic Chicken Fingerz in the new ZaxSeas Surf & Turf Meal.

- New ZaxSeas Surf & Turf Meal: Eight Southern Fried Shrimp served with Zaxtail Sauce, three Chicken Fingerz with Zax Sauce, Texas Toast, crinkle fries, and a small drink, all for a suggested price of $12.99.
- New Buffalo Shrimp: Eight Southern Fried Shrimp coated in Buffalo Garlic Blaze, served with a side of Ranch sauce for dipping—for a suggested price of $6.19.
- Southern Fried Shrimp Meal: Eight crispy-fried butterfly shrimp served with zesty Zaxtail Sauce—a combination of Zax Sauce and cocktail sauce with a touch of horseradish—for dipping, paired with Texas Toast, crinkle fries, and a small drink for $10.29.
- Asian Zensation Zalad with Southern Fried Shrimp: Southern Fried Shrimp served over a bed of mixed greens, carrots, red cabbage, crispy wonton strips, and Asian Slaw, drizzled with honey sesame Teriyaki Sauce, paired with Citrus Vinaigrette and a Veggie Egg Roll for a suggested price of $11.59.
