Starting November 1, 2024, Burger King teams up with renowned rice vendor Hachidaime Gihey to launch the new Kyoto Whopper, combining premium rice and beef, at participating locations in Japan.

The new Kyoto Whopper features a specially crafted rice patty made from a blend of 2024 harvested white rice and Kin no Ibuki (brown rice), topped with a flame-grilled 100 percent beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a special Japanese-style ginger sauce, all served on a sesame seed bun.

The special Japanese-style sauce consists of a combination of dashi soy sauce infused with the umami flavor of four types of traditional Japanese spices, including ginger, roasted chili pepper, dried citrus peel, and Japanese pepper.

Burger King’s Kyoto Whopper is available a la carte for a suggested price of 990 yen (~$6.47 US), or as part of a combo meal with fries and a drink for 1290 yen (~$8.43 US).

You can find the Kyoto Whopper at participating Burger King locations across Japan for a limited time. Prices may vary.
