Carl’s Jr. is jumping on the CBD bandwagon, but only in Colorado and for a limited time.

Today, the chain announced that it will sell a new CBD infused burger called Rocky Mountain High CheeseBurger Delight for one day only at a single location in Denver, Colorado on Saturday, April 20, 2019.

The new Rocky Mountain High CheeseBurger Delight (CBD) comes with two 100% charbroiled beef patties, topped with pickled jalapeños, Crisscut fries, pepper Jack cheese, and the chain’s new Santa Fe Sauce infused with hemp-based CBD oil, all sandwiched between a premium bun.

The company says it’s sourcing its CBD oil from Bluebird Botanicals, a Colorado-based company that sells CBD products. For those who are unfamiliar, CBD is a hemp-derived cannabinoid extract, which is a non-psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.

The burger does not contain THC so it won’t get you high like regular cannabis would. However, the FDA “still hasn’t decided how to regulate CBD products,” so the company must act carefully when using ingredients such as CBD to make its burgers.

Carl’s Jr. new Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight will be available at 4050 Colorado Blvd. in Denver, CO on 4/20/19 beginning at 6:00 a.m. MT for just $4.20, while supplies last.
