Donatos is teaming up with plant-based artisanal meat and cheese brand Field Roast for the introduction of two new cauliflower crust pizzas made with plant-based pepperoni.
Made from a mixture of pea, potato, and fava bean, this plant-based savory topping has the same amount of protein compared to traditional pepperoni, but with 50 percent less sodium, fat, and saturated fat.
Field Roast Plant-Based Pepperoni is crafted with authentic Italian seasonings such as garlic, black pepper, fennel, anise, cayenne, and paprika to deliver the same craveable taste of traditional pepperoni.
The new line of cauliflower crust pizzas topped with plant-based pepperoni includes: Cauliflower Works and Cauliflower Pepperoni & Peppers.
The Cauliflower Works pizza features a 10-inch cauliflower crust topped with plant-based pepperoni, plant-based sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and aged smoked Provolone and Romano cheeses.
The Cauliflower Pepperoni & Peppers pizza features a 10-inch cauliflower crust topped with plant-based pepperoni, green peppers, banana peppers, onions, and aged smoked Provolone and Romano cheeses.
Cauliflower pizzas made with Field Roast plant-based pepperoni are available at nearly 170 Donatos locations nationwide and can be ordered online at donatos.com or via the chain’s mobile app for both pickup and delivery.
Other brands that have used or are using Filed Roast products to add plant-based offerings to their menus include Little Caesars, Wienerschnitzel, and Boston Pizza, among others.
