KFC Chicken Nuggets and PepsiCo’s lemon-lime flavored soda Starry are joining forces to relaunch the Jamal Murry Meal at participating KFC locations, and offer 27 stylish leather jackets – an homage to the basketball player’s jersey number – to their most loyal fans.
The new leather jacket combines color pops of the fried chicken chain’s signature red with Starry bright yellow and lime green. The jacket also features a racer design, “Champ” and “Jamal Murray Worldwide” patches, along with the athlete’s signature double arrow logomark, among other decals and emblems. And to make it even more finger lickin’ good, a numbered edition label and Colonel Sanders embroidery adorn the exclusive piece.
Two lucky fans will have the chance to score a Jamal Murray-autographed version of the jacket. In addition, an autographed set of three enamel pins sporting Starry brand characters – Lem dunking a #27 basketball, and Lime dribbling a #27 basketball, along with a Blue Arrow pin, a nod to Murray’s nickname and signature celebration – are being released alongside the new jacket. The jackets and pin sets will be sold through NTWRK, which is a curated livestream shopping platform that aims to bring people closer to the products, cultures, and communities they’re passionate about.
The Jamal Murray Meal, which is exclusively available on the KFC app and KFC.com through December 31, 2023, comes with 12 KFC Chicken Nuggets hand-breaded in the chain’s Original Recipe paired with a medium Starry. The meal is also served with a side of Secret Recipe Fries, a biscuit, and Jamal’s favorite dipping sauces: Classic Ranch and Buffalo Ranch.
To be one of the lucky few to snag the exclusive leather jacket and rep their favorite NBA player or receive an autographed pin set, simply head to the NTWRK app, pay a refundable $1, and be first to enter the necessary information. The merch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis during a livestream episode on the NTWRK app on October 26, 2023 at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET. The $1 charge will be placed on the winner’s credit card and will be refunded approximately five-to-ten days after the prize is awarded.
