Drawing inspiration from the aromas of taco stands on the streets of Mexico City, Mod launches the new Iggy Pizza at participating locations.
Created in collaboration with Spiceology, the Iggy Pizza features the spicy El Taco sausage paired with whole milk mozzarella cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, fresh cilantro, sliced fresh tomato, and slices of pickled jalapeño, all finished with a kick of Ranchero sauce made with tomato, fiery peppers, and cool ranch.
For those unfamiliar, Spiceology is the fastest growing spice company in America. It recently launched a line of salt-free seasonings and blends, including the El Taco seasoning, which is used to season MOD’s mild pork sausage. El Taco seasoning is salt-free blend with hints of cumin, chili powder, oregano, minced garlic and red bell pepper.
In addition to the Iggy, MOD Pizza is also introducing the new Strawberry Summer Salad and the new Strawberry Shortcake this summer.
The Strawberry Summer Salad features crisp romaine and tender mixed greens, fresh cucumber, fresh-cut ripe strawberries, Gorgonzola cheese crumbles and pickled red onions, hand-tossed with the brand’s Sherry Dijon vinaigrette and finished with a delicious balsamic-fig glaze.
The limited-edition Strawberry Shortcake “Squad Cake” features a soft and creamy vanilla cake filled with strawberry cream and topped with red sprinkles. Proceeds from the sale of this limited-edition cake will support MOD Squad members during times of crisis through the chain’s employee relief fund – Bridge Fund – which has already provided emergency grants of over $1,500,000 to Squad members in need of support.
Both the Iggy and the Strawberry Summer Salad are available at all MOD locations nationwide through September 5, 2021. The Strawberry Shortcake “Squad Cake” rolls out on June 21, 2021, and will be in stores for a limited time, while supplies last.
