Panda Express is putting its own spin on a new American Chinese classic with the launch of Cantonese BBQ Beef Brisket, featuring the brand’s new Char Siu-style BBQ sauce, available at participating locations through August 10, 2026.
Cantonese BBQ Beef Brisket features slow-cooked beef brisket that is hand-cut into thick, bite-sized pieces and finished with a flame sear in Panda Express’ new Char Siu-style BBQ sauce. The result is a meat-focused entrée with a smoky, sweet, savory, and tangy profile inspired by Cantonese barbecue.
The dish uses both the point and flat of the brisket, giving each serving a mix of rich, marbled pieces and leaner, tender cuts. The sauce brings together soy sauce, spicy fermented soybean paste, mirin, sesame oil, and Chinese spices for a deeper umami flavor.
Unlike many Panda Express entrées, Cantonese BBQ Beef Brisket is served without vegetables, keeping the focus entirely on the beef. The dish takes cues from char siu, the Cantonese barbecue style associated with Guangdong, but swaps in premium brisket for a Panda-style take on the sweet-savory BBQ flavor.
The new dish can be enjoyed a la carte or as part of a Bowl, Plate, or Bigger Plate for a suggested starting price of $7.35, though prices may vary.
Cantonese BBQ Brisket can now be found at participating Panda Express locations nationwide for a limited time through Monday, August 10, 2026.
