Panera To Launch New Toasted Italiano, Chicken Bacon Rancher, Ciabatta Cheesesteak And More As Part Of Biggest Menu Update In Brand History


Panera Bread today announced that it’s ushering in a fresh chapter this April with the most extensive menu revamp to date, refocusing on innovation and bringing new life to beloved fan favorites. As part of the menu update, Panera will offer better value and a more convenient dining journey with the introduction of nine new menu items and 12 enhanced classics. These changes are slated to launch at Panera bakery-cafes across the country on April 4, 2024.

Additionally, Panera will also add more menu options priced under $10, including the new Tomato Basil BLT, Mediterranean Greens with Grains, and Ranch Cobb Salad. According to Panera, the menu items will also feature heftier portions of chicken and steak in many sandwiches and salads, delivering an even more fulfilling dining experience.

The new entrees focus on fan inspired flavors, done the Panera way, with new meats, cheeses, salad dressings, spice blends, and hearty grains. The updated menu will also streamline operational efficiency for bakery-cafe teams, ensuring easier delivery of top-notch service and always wrapped in the brand’s signature warmth.

New menu items debuting on April 4:

  • Toasted Italiano: Black Forest ham, soppressata and provolone cheese, romaine lettuce, red onion, sliced pepperoncini peppers, garlic aioli, and Greek dressing on toasted French Baguette.
  • Chicken Bacon Rancher: Grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, aged white cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing on Black Pepper Focaccia.
  • Ciabatta Cheesesteak: Tender marinated sliced steak, provolone cheese, garlic aioli, caramelized onions, and zesty sweet Peppadew peppers on Ciabatta bread.
  • Tomato Basil BLT: Applewood smoked bacon, vine-ripened tomatoes, crisp mixed greens, garlic aioli, and salt and pepper on Tomato Basil Miche.

Hearty Salads:

  • Mediterranean Chicken Greens with Grains: Romaine lettuce and crisp mixed greens tossed in Greek Dressing, then topped with hearty whole grain blend of farro and red rice, grilled chicken, hummus, feta cheese, red onions, zesty sweet Peppadew peppers, sliced cucumbers, and a sprinkle of the chain’s Mediterranean shawarma seasoning.
  • Southwest Chicken Ranch: Romaine lettuce tossed in ranch dressing, with grilled chicken and drizzled with chipotle aioli, topped with fresh avocado, grape tomatoes, corn, cilantro, and blue corn tortilla strips.
  • Balsamic Chicken Greens with Grains: Romaine lettuce and crisp mixed greens tossed in balsamic vinaigrette, with hearty whole grain blend of farro and red rice, sliced cucumbers, topped with sliced pepperoncini peppers, avocado, feta cheese, pumpkin seeds, and a drizzle of Green Goddess dressing.
  • Ranch Cobb Salad: Romaine lettuce and crisp mixed greens tossed in ranch dressing, topped with grape tomatoes, pickled red onions, applewood smoked bacon, feta cheese, and a hard-boiled egg.

Bacon Mac & Cheese: Tender shell pasta smothered in a blend of rich cheeses, including tangy aged white cheddar sauce, and topped with applewood smoked bacon.

In addition to the new menu items, 12 classic favorites, including the Bravo Club Sandwich, Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt, the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad and more, have received significant enhancements, now boasting even more delicious flavors that fans will love.
