Popeyes is kicking up the heat with the debut of the new Twisty Wicked Shrimp.
Popeyes’ new Spicy Wicked Shrimp features the chain’s signature shrimp marinated in a blend of Louisiana-style herbs and spices that includes salt, pepper, onion, garlic, cayenne pepper, bay leaf, and sriracha. The shrimp is then battered and breaded with the brand’s Southern-style crispy coating before being fried up for maximum crunch.
The chain is also offering a new Smoky Garlic Tartar Sauce to pair with your favorite seafood items.
You can get the new menu item as part of a $5 Wicked Shrimp Combo that includes 14 pieces of Wicked Shrimp, a regular side, and a biscuit, plus a side of the new Smoky Garlic Tartar Sauce for dipping. There’s also a $6 Wicked Shrimp Combo option that includes 14 pieces of Wicked Shrimp, one regular side, a biscuit, a drink, and Smoky Garlic Tartar Sauce.
According to Popeyes’ website, each combo contains between 262 and 625 calories.
You can find Wicked Shrimp at participating Popeyes restaurants nationwide for a limited time.
