Subway is about to give the McDonald’s McRib a run for its money with the launch of the new BBQ Rib Sandwich.

Subway’s new BBQ Rib Sandwich consists of a boneless pork rib patty (or two if it’s a Footlong) topped with BBQ sauce, lettuce, pickles, and onions, all on a toasted sub roll.

Additionally, the BBQ Rib will also be available in Wrap and Salad form upon request. The BBQ Rib Signature Wrap comes with two pork rib patties, while the BBQ Rib Salad features just one.

The suggested price for a BBQ Rib sub is $3.49 for a 6-inch and $5 for a Footlong, although prices may vary depending on your location.

The BBQ Rib, which many believe will rival the McDonald’s McRib, was originally tested at select locations back in 2018. Some locations have had it for over two years, but for most, it’s an entirely new menu item.

If you can’t find it at your local Subway, sources tell The Fast Food Post that the BBQ Rib Sandwich is set to launch nationwide on Thursday, July 9, 2020.

  1. It is very good. But mine had no BBQ sauce on it. I don’t see an option for BBQ sauce on their app. But it does have a very good taste.

  2. I think it tastes pretty good. My suggestion – have them toast the onions. They can put them on before popping the sandwich into the toaster oven. Then add some lettuce, tomato, pickles with maybe a little sweet onion sauce to finish it off.
