For the first time in the brand’s history, Taco Bell is giving fans the power to decide via a unique in-app voting experience which fan favorite item should return to menus nationwide for a limited time: the Double Decker Taco or the Enchirito?
Starting today, Taco Bell Rewards members can cast their daily vote in the chain’s mobile app through October 6, 2022, with the victor being announced on October 7 and appearing on menus at participating locations at a later date.
First introduced in 1995, the Double Decker Taco is a hybrid taco that fuses various textures and Taco Bell flavors in soft flour tortilla layered with beans and then wrapped around a traditional crunchy taco shell that’s filled with seasoned beef, crispy lettuce and cheddar cheese.
Meanwhile, the Enchirito, which was originally launched back in 1970, features a soft flour tortilla loaded with seasoned beef, beans and diced onions all rolled up and smothered with classic red sauce before being topped with melted shredded cheddar cheese.
To become a Taco Bell Rewards member and start voting, all you need to do is download the Taco Bell app and sign up for a free account.
Which of these two items would like to see added to the Taco Bell menu before the end of the year? Let us know down in the comments.
It would be nice if TACO BELL would anticipate the volume bringing back these items would generate. Bringing back the MEXICAN PIZZA was a flop…the company could not anticipate how much supplies to have? Seriously. You might run out for a day…but for WEEKS or MONTHS??? Nothing more than a marketing ploy to get people talking about it and TACO BELL saying how good they are so we bought them out in 2 weeks
