Taco Bell Unveils New Plant-Based Beyond Carne Asada Steak

0

Taco Bell and Beyond Meat are partnering up for the launch of what they’re calling a “first-of-its kind, category-disrupting product,” Beyond Carne Asada Steak, at select restaurants in the Dayton, OH area starting October 13, 2022.

Certified vegan by the American Vegetarian Association (AVA), Beyond Carne Asada Steak was crafted between the masterminds behind the Mexican fast-food chain’s test kitchen and Beyond Meat’s innovation and culinary teams by combining simple plant-based ingredients with Taco Bell’s signature spices. And, like all of Beyond Meat’s products, the new plant-based protein option is made without GMOs or added hormones.

As part of the test, Taco Bell is also introducing a new Beyond Carne Asada Steak Quesadilla that will be offered at the same price as their traditional steak quesadilla. Additionally, and thanks to Taco Bell’s customizable menu, Beyond Carne Asada Steak can be added to any basically any item on the menu for a small upcharge. But there is no additional cost to swap Beyond Carne Asada Steak for the brand’s traditional steak option.

Plant-based Beyond Carne Asada Steak will be available at participating Taco Bell locations in the Dayton, Ohio area beginning on October 13, 2022, for a limited time, or while supplies last.
