Taco John’s celebrates its 50th anniversary by bringing back the Sierra Chicken Sandwich after a six-year hiatus. The Mexican-inspired chain is also selling a new dessert called “Gold Churro.”
The Sierra Chicken Sandwich comes with a grilled chicken breast fillet smothered in the chain’s original Sierra Sauce and topped with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and shredded cheese wrapped in a warm flatbread.
Though prices may vary by location, the returning sandwich costs $3.79 at my local Taco John’s.
Made exclusively for the chain’s 50th anniversary, the Gold Churro is a ridged stick of fried dough, dusted in what appears to be real gold.

You can find the Sierra Chicken Flatbread Sandwich and the Gold Churro at participating Taco John’s restaurants nationwide for a limited-time only.
